A place in Balboa Park to learn on real cars.

San Diego Automotive Museum

The museum’s IGNITE Program is hands-on education for people who want to work around cars.

IGNITE is the San Diego Automotive Museum’s education program. It is built around interest in motorsports, time in a working garage, and mentorship from people who already do the work.

Participants use tools, take on projects, and have a place to work together. That same kind of project-car activity is useful for engineering students who need somewhere to turn a drawing into a part that fits.

Triton Motorsports points students toward the museum when they need that space and those teachers, alongside the team’s own garage work.
