Collegiate Racing Series cars on track

Where college teams meet on track.

Collegiate Racing Series

CRS is the intercollegiate series Triton Motorsports races in. Students build the effort, then compete.

Collegiate Racing Series

The Collegiate Racing Series sanctions competition for student-built and student-operated teams. Its rules describe the series as a place for safe, fair, and educational racing, and for developing engineering and driving talent.

Schools race in more than one class. The A-Series uses a spec ND Miata. The B-Series lets teams run other approved cars. Classroom time, track instruction, and the race weekend sit in the same ladder, so the sport is also the coursework.

For Triton Motorsports, CRS is the reason the garage, the simulator, and the management roles exist. Students learn by preparing a car and a team, then by racing them.
